Resilience Counseling Launches Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Psychiatry Across Florida
Resilience Counseling Launches Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Psychiatry Across Florida
Resilience Counseling & Social Skills Center is pleased to announce that specialized psychiatric services are now available to children, adolescents and young adults throughout Florida through telehealth.
This expansion represents an important next step for Resilience as we work to make specialized behavioral health care more accessible to individuals and families beyond our established Virginia communities.
Florida patients can now access psychiatric evaluation, treatment and medication management with Hadley McPherson, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist licensed in both Florida and Virginia.
Dr. McPherson provides psychiatric care for children, adolescents and young adults ages 4–30 and is currently accepting new Florida telehealth patients.
Expanding Access to Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in Florida
Finding psychiatric care for a child or teenager can be challenging for families, particularly when seeking a psychiatrist who specializes in working with younger patients.
Resilience's Florida expansion is initially focused specifically on Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Psychiatry, allowing us to bring a specialized service to families throughout the state while maintaining the individualized approach to mental health care that has guided our practice since its founding.
Through telehealth, patients do not need to live near a particular office or major metropolitan area to access care. Eligible patients located throughout Florida can meet with Dr. McPherson through secure virtual appointments from their own communities.
This allows Resilience to serve families across Tampa Bay, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Naples, Tallahassee, Gainesville, Sarasota and communities throughout Florida.

Online Psychiatry Throughout Florida
All Resilience clinical services in Florida are currently provided through telehealth.
Telehealth can make specialized psychiatric care more accessible by reducing geographic barriers and eliminating the need for families to routinely travel long distances for appointments.
Patients can participate in appointments from throughout Florida as long as they are physically located within the state at the time of the clinical appointment and otherwise meet the requirements for telehealth care.
Our Tampa Bay location at 4830 W. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 600, Tampa, Florida serves as a virtual access point for our statewide Florida services. This location does not currently provide in-person clinical appointments.
A New Chapter for Resilience
Resilience Counseling & Social Skills Center began in Virginia in 2017 with a focus on making high-quality mental health care more accessible while connecting patients with clinicians whose experience and interests fit their individual needs.
Today, Resilience has grown into a multidisciplinary behavioral health organization providing counseling and psychotherapy, psychiatry and medication management, psychological testing and other specialized mental health services.
Our Virginia team now includes more than 80 psychotherapy clinicians and five psychiatric prescribers, including two psychiatrists and three psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners.
The launch of Florida psychiatry represents the beginning of Resilience's expansion beyond Virginia while remaining consistent with the principles on which the organization was built: increasing access, developing strong clinical teams and helping people build the skills necessary to navigate life's challenges.
