Resilience Counseling & Social Skills Center provides mental health services across five Virginia locations in Richmond City, Midlothian, Glen Allen, Stafford, and Fredericksburg, along with telehealth services throughout Virginia.

Our multidisciplinary team includes more than 80 psychotherapy clinicians, five psychiatric prescribers, psychologists, and other mental health professionals serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Resilience also provides specialized Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Psychiatry throughout Florida via telehealth with Hadley McPherson, MD.

Counseling & Psychotherapy

Resilience has more than 80 psychotherapy clinicians providing individual, child and adolescent, adult, couples, family, and group counseling.

Services are available across our five Virginia locations, with telehealth available throughout Virginia with participating clinicians.

Psychiatry & Medication Management

Our psychiatric team includes five prescribing providers — two psychiatrists and three board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BCs).

Resilience provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing psychiatric care, with in-person services available at select Virginia locations and telehealth throughout Virginia.

We also have two child-focused psychiatric prescribers serving children, adolescents, and young adults ages 4–30.

Psychological Testing & Evaluation

Resilience provides comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults.

Evaluations may address concerns involving ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning and psychoeducational concerns, emotional and behavioral functioning, and diagnostic clarification.

Psychological testing is currently provided in person through our Fredericksburg location.

Florida Psychiatry

Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Psychiatry Throughout Florida

Resilience now provides specialized psychiatric care throughout Florida via telehealth.

Hadley McPherson, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist licensed in both Virginia and Florida who provides psychiatric services for children, adolescents, and young adults ages 4–30.

Dr. McPherson is accepting new Florida patients through telehealth.

Insurance & Fees

Resilience participates with many major commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, and military health insurance plans serving Virginia.

Insurance participation varies by provider, service, location, and individual insurance plan, so we encourage prospective patients to confirm participation and benefits before beginning services.

Once we have scheduled your appointment we will send e-mail confirmation and intake paperwork to complete prior to our first meeting. We ask that you please contact your insurance company to review your mental health benefit prior to our first meeting and confirm any out-of-pocket expenses or prior-authorizations you may be responsible for.

Can't make it to one of our offices?

Resilience offers telehealth services throughout Virginia with participating providers, allowing eligible patients to attend appointments through secure video sessions.

Telehealth availability varies by provider, service, age, and individual clinical needs.

Serving Florida Residents Statewide Through Telehealth

Our Tampa location serves as the Florida virtual access point for Resilience Counseling & Social Skills Center.

Resilience currently provides specialized Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Psychiatry throughout Florida via telehealth with Hadley McPherson, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist licensed in Florida and Virginia.

Dr. McPherson provides psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults ages 4–30 and is currently accepting new Florida telehealth patients.

All Florida clinical appointments are currently provided through telehealth. This location does not provide in-person clinical appointments.

You do not need to live in Tampa or the Tampa Bay area to receive services. Eligible patients located throughout Florida can access care through secure telehealth appointments.
