Stacey Orf, LCSW
Stacey is a mother, and a first- generational college student, who was raised in the Chesterfield area. She obtained an associate degree at a community college and received her undergraduate and graduate degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. Stacey is known for her empathetic, sympathetic, and bubbly personality as well as her person-centered approach. Stacey utilizes her supportive and warm personality to assist in creating a safe environment for patients to feel comfortable, to discuss goals for therapy. Stacey is truly passionate about helping others and assisting clients with accomplishing goals. She helps clients to find their voice, utilize their voice, and helps them with setting boundaries. Stacey has worked in a variety of settings including: a partial hospitalization program, medical and various outpatient settings. Stacey is LGBTQIA+ affirming, cultural competent, and utilizes trauma-informed care. Stacey has extensive experience providing services for clients including but not limited to: Substance Use Disorders, Personality Disorders, Mood disorders, Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Agoraphobia, Depression, Panic Disorders, PTSD, providing Grief Therapy, Health professionals, participants in the Health Practitioners Monitoring Program (HPMP), Anger Management, mood regulation, women’s health, domestic violence, stressors pertaining to work, interpersonal conflicts, Chronic pain, stressors related to life transitions, ADHD, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, OCD, Post-partum depression, Adjustment disorders, and (TBI’s) Traumatic Brain Injuries. Stacey utilizes a variety of interventions including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational interviewing, Supportive psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Stages of Change Model, Trauma Informed Care , Strengths based approach , Humanistic Theory ,Crisis Intervention, Attachment Theory, Empowerment Theory , assertiveness training, Mindfulness/,Meditation including other various forms of emotional regulation techniques: such as (PMR) Progressive Muscle Relaxation, in addition to other evidence based practices.
