THERAPIST

Sandra Anderson, LPC

Sandra became a licensed professional counselor as a midlife career change starting 15 years ago by enrolling in the Counseling Ministries program at The Methodist Theological School in Ohio.

I wanted to become a therapist because I realized that mental health works! Like you, I’ve experienced many challenges in life and I found therapy transformative. My approach to counseling is practical as I am also a journeyman carpenter, the career that I began in the 1980’s.

Together we will discuss solutions to your problems drawing from practical experience as well as evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral theory and mindfulness. I am experienced in treating anger, anxiety, depression, trauma, shame, low self-esteem, poor boundaries, attention deficit disorder and communication issues with teens and adults. My approach is non judgemental, solution focused and specific to your goals where you are not the problem, the problem is the problem.
