Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Testing Now Available — No Waitlist

At Resilience Counseling & Social Skills Center, we understand how important it is for families and individuals to receive clear answers when developmental, social, or behavioral concerns arise. Our Psychological Testing Program offers comprehensive Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) evaluations, and we are pleased to share that we currently have availability and no waitlist for testing appointments.

For many families, long waitlists for ASD evaluations can delay access to services, school supports, and appropriate treatment. Our goal is to provide timely, thorough, and compassionate evaluations so individuals can receive the clarity and support they need as soon as possible.

Why Autism Testing Matters

Autism Spectrum Disorder affects how individuals communicate, interact socially, and experience the world around them. A comprehensive evaluation can provide important insight into strengths, challenges, and developmental needs.

An ASD evaluation can help:

  • Clarify whether autism or another developmental condition may be present

  • Identify learning, emotional, or behavioral factors that may be impacting functioning

  • Provide documentation for school accommodations or services

  • Guide therapy, educational, and support planning

  • Give families a clearer roadmap for how to best support their child or loved one

Psychological testing often provides the most accurate and comprehensive picture of an individual’s developmental and behavioral profile, allowing clinicians to create personalized recommendations for support.

Our Comprehensive Autism Testing Process

Our testing program is designed to be thorough, structured, and supportive for both individuals and families. The process typically includes several steps to ensure an accurate and meaningful evaluation.

1. Intake and Clinical Assessment

The process begins with a behavioral health intake session where our clinician gathers background information about developmental history, current concerns, school performance, and family observations. This helps determine the most appropriate testing approach.

2. Diagnostic Testing Sessions

Individuals participate in structured testing sessions that may include cognitive, social, emotional, and developmental assessments. Comprehensive psychological testing can take approximately 6–10 hours in total, depending on the evaluation needs.

3. Autism-Specific Assessments

For autism evaluations, clinicians utilize gold-standard assessment tools, including:

  • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) – an interactive evaluation conducted directly with the individual

  • Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised (ADI-R) – a detailed developmental interview completed with parents or caregivers

These tools help clinicians evaluate communication patterns, social interaction, and developmental history across the lifespan.

4. Record Review and Data Integration

Our clinicians review any available school records, medical records, or prior evaluations to gain a complete understanding of the individual’s history and functioning.

5. Feedback and Recommendations

Once testing is completed, families participate in a feedback session where the clinician explains the results, answers questions, and provides practical recommendations for next steps.

6. Final Written Report

Clients receive a comprehensive written report summarizing findings, diagnoses (if applicable), and clear recommendations for treatment, educational supports, and community resources.

Who Can Benefit from ASD Testing?

Our evaluations are designed for:

  • Young children showing early developmental concerns

  • School-age children struggling socially or academically

  • Teenagers who may have been overlooked earlier in development

  • Adults seeking clarity about lifelong social or sensory challenges

Because autism presents differently across individuals, a professional evaluation can help distinguish ASD from other concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, learning differences, or social communication challenges.
