Leigh is a dedicated and highly accomplished professional with an extensive background spanning eleven years across diverse healthcare settings, including emergency, procedural, and psychiatric care. Originally hailing from Roanoke, Virginia, Leigh's journey began in the Marine Corps immediately after high school. Over the course of six years, he not only traveled across multiple continents but also achieved meritorious promotions and gained invaluable combat experience, demonstrating unwavering dedication and exemplary leadership qualities.

Following an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Leigh embarked on his academic pursuits at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned his first undergraduate degree in Sociology and Anthropology. This educational foundation paved the way for a successful career in sales, consulting, and business management, during which he managed territories in both the United States and Canada, showcasing his exceptional versatility and adaptability.

However, Leigh soon realized his true calling lay in serving those in need. Motivated by this passion, he decided to transition into the field of nursing, aspiring to ultimately become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. In 2014, he successfully completed his undergraduate degree from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing, dedicating a substantial portion of his academic journey to Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. This experience exposed him to diverse healthcare settings, including cardiology and emergency department environments. Additional expertise was gained in interventional cardiology and psychiatry through roles within the Veteran’s Administration and various urban-centered healthcare facilities. His remarkable journey and diverse experiences have equipped him with a unique skill set and unwavering dedication, making him a valuable asset in the field of healthcare.

Leigh continued to expand his knowledge and expertise by pursuing a master's degree at Walden University. He further honed his skills through clinical rounds at Saint Mary's Richmond, Virginia, a healthcare setting renowned for its commitment to quality care. Additionally, Leigh extended his clinical training to multiple outpatient private practice settings, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on patient care and the complexities of mental health practice. This comprehensive education and training have solidified his position as a highly qualified and compassionate healthcare professional, dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those he serves.

Leigh's approach to mental health is holistic, emphasizing a focus on reducing polypharmacy and using medication only when there is a mutually understood need. His treatment protocol includes cognitive reframing and mindfulness, reflecting his commitment to comprehensive and patient-centered care. Treating patients with post-traumatic stress is a passion he wishes to pursue, further demonstrating his dedication to improving the well-being of individuals facing mental health challenges.
