Jessica Slusher, MA, Resident In Counseling

Jessica Slusher, Resident in Counseling, works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families to support them through life's challenges and help them build meaningful, lasting change.

Mrs. Slusher takes a warm, person-centered approach to therapy, creating a safe and supportive space where clients of all ages can feel heard, understood and empowered. Her sessions are collaborative and compassionate, blending empathy with evidenced-based strategies to help clients move forward in areas like anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges and identity exploration. She has extensive experience with neurodiverse individuals, including those with ADHD and autism, and works closely with families to improve communication, strengthen relationships and promote emotional growth.

Mrs. Slusher utilizes person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as her primary modalities, and draws from her background in community-based counseling services and behavioral analysis to offer practical, developmentally appropriate support to children, teens and adults. She is both trauma-informed and culturally competent and brings a deep understanding of past experiences and cultural context shape a person's present. Mrs. Slusher holds a Master's degree from Liberty University and is a Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia. She works with individuals ages 5 and up.
