Jason Gray, MSW, Supervisee In Social Work
Jason Gray, Supervisee in Social Work, has experience working collaboratively with a diverse range of clients representing multiple intersectionalities and contending with various presenting needs relating to substance recovery, family and interpersonal relationships, neurodivergence, depression, anxiety, and other mood related disorders.
Since retiring from the U.S. Air Force, Jason has worked with various organizations to support the diverse needs associated with intellectual and developmental differences in the Fredericksburg and Richmond, Virginia areas. His primary focus has been to teach and promote the life skills needed for greater degrees of independent living while advocating for changes that will support positive health outcomes. He received his Masters of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Jason’s person-centered therapeutic focus promotes his ability to work collaboratively with clients in a compassionate, affirming, and friendly way that honors all of their lived experiences to include those relating to neurodivergence, gender, and traumatic life events. Utilizing mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches allows him to provide evidence-based tools which create meaningful, timely, and lasting change for clients spanning from late teens to late adulthood. Combining his knowledge of mental health, local resources, and advocacy, he offers a variety of therapeutic supports to further aid positive therapeutic outcomes.
Jason is a certified Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 (ADOS-2) clinician and he is in the process of obtaining certification as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCP) and ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD CCSP). As a Supervisee in Social Work, Jason is working toward full licensure in clinical social work and receives supervision from Erin Tomlinson, LCSW.
