Hannah Simmons, LCSW

Hannah Simmons, LCSW, offers a broad range of clinical experience to support clients on their mental health journey. Her background spans work in the Department of Social Services, inpatient psychiatric facilities, homeless shelters, and hospice & grief services, equipping her to help clients navigate a variety of complex life challenges. She received her MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Hannah works with adolescents, adults, and seniors, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual’s needs. She integrates Person-Centered Therapy to create a non-judgmental, empathetic space while employing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She also incorporates Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) to strengthen relationship and communication skills, Solution-Focused Therapy to promote practical, strength-based problem-solving, and Trauma-Informed Care to ensure a safe and supportive environment for individuals with past trauma.

Drawing from Psychodynamic Therapy, Hannah helps clients explore the influence of past experiences on present behavior, guiding them toward greater self-awareness and emotional healing. Whether clients are seeking to build coping strategies, improve self-awareness, or achieve personal goals, Hannah fosters an empowering therapeutic relationship that promotes healing and growth.

If you’re ready to make meaningful, lasting changes in your life, Hannah is here to offer professional and empathetic care every step of the way. Connect with her today and begin your journey toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

“If nothing else, one day you can look someone straight in the eyes and say, ‘But I lived through it. And it made me who I am today.’”
