THERAPIST

Christina Millson, LPC

It is my desire to provide my clients with a safe, comfortable, and non-judgemental space in which they may express their feelings, thoughts, and concerns. Through my person-centered approach I want to come alongside my clients to help them develop goals to reach their full potential.

I received my Masters of Professional Counseling degree from Liberty University in 2019 and then began my residency in pursuit of my LPC. I have experience providing direct care in therapeutic day treatment, in-home, and crisis counseling settings. Prior to beginning my career as a counselor, I was an elementary school teacher for four years. In 2011, I received my Master of Arts in Education from College of William and Mary. Teachers wear many different hats and it was the counseling hat that most suited me as I sought to improve the wellbeing of each child. Teaching provided me with an excellent foundation for my counseling career, as I now have over nine years working with children. My counseling experience encompasses working with children, adolescents, and adults from various backgrounds. Speciality areas include depression, anxiety, bipolar, ADHD, impulse disorders.
