Bianca Carlton, MS, Resident In Counseling
Bianca Tarlton, Resident in Counseling, provides a warm, collaborative, and affirming space where clients feel supported in exploring challenges, building resilience, and creating meaningful change.
Before becoming a counselor, Bianca spent over 20 years as an elementary school teacher, working extensively with diverse and multilingual communities. She received her Master of Science in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and also holds a Master of Science in Education, which reflects her lifelong commitment to learning and growth. Now, in her second career, she brings that same empathy and respect into her counseling work with clients ages 8 and older.
Bianca works with both individuals and couples, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and strengths-based, humanistic perspectives. She believes therapy works best as a partnership and sees herself as a guide who helps clients uncover their strengths and move toward their goals.
As an LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed counselor, Bianca welcomes people from all walks of life. Whether clients are navigating stress, trauma, life transitions, or relationship challenges, she walks alongside them with empathy and curiosity. Her goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to cultivate the life and relationships they want.
