Jim Tomlinson, PMHNP-BC
Jim Tomlinson, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner committed to providing safe, compassionate care for his clients. He has over a decade of healthcare experience in settings including hospitals, residential treatment, and community health centers. Jim values a collaborative approach with clients, and strives to develop holistic treatment plans that are individualized and incorporate pharmacologic, psychotherapeutic and complementary modalities.
Jim earned his Master of Science in Nursing from VCU, and completed additional graduate studies in social work as well as in psychology and religion at Boston University. His clinical approach is shaped by an openness to the many factors that are important to his clients' mental health, including the developmental, cultural, religious/spiritual or existential aspects of his clients' lives and experience.
In his personal time, Jim enjoys many hobbies including hiking, natural history, gardening, and travel, and most especially loves to spend time with his family.
