Dr. Ryan Mischel, MD, Ph. D.

Dr. Mischel is a board-certified adult psychiatrist that broadly treats psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, psychosis, bipolar disorder, aggression, and insomnia, among others.

He utilizes a patient-centered approach to generate a tailored treatment plan that incorporates a patient's history and life story into the selection of psychotropic medications.

Dr. Mischel graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Dakota in 2012 with a BS in Biology/Pre-Medicine. He then attended the MD/PhD program at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2012-2020. He has a PhD in Pharmacology & Toxicology and was awarded an NIH NIDA F30 research fellowship to investigate the role of the gastrointestinal microbiome in opioid tolerance development.

He completed residency training at the prestigious Barnes-Jewish Hospital associated with Washington University in St. Louis from 2020-2024. Dr. Mischel enjoys spending time with his family, reading, going to the theater, watching movies, playing video games, and getting exercise.
